Feed planning

Work out what your animals will eat.

Three ways to plan: what the flock or herd eats today, what the whole cycle will take from day one to the end, and what a milking cow or buffalo needs for the litres she gives. Every answer comes back in kilos, in 50 kg bags, and with the Arunodya feed that belongs at that stage.

The age box changes meaning with the animal — days for broilers, weeks for layers, breeders and pigs, months for young cattle — so it resets when you switch.

Feed for the full programme, bag by bag — starter through finisher for a broiler or pig batch, chick through phase III for a layer flock, calf to calving for young cattle. Bags are rounded up per stage, because that is how they are bought.

Concentrate only — green and dry fodder are on top of this. Maintenance is taken on body weight, the rest follows the yield: a cow needs roughly one kilo of concentrate for every two and a half litres, a buffalo one for every two. The AF grade suggested is the one built for that level of production.

Swine figures come from Arunodya’s own published growth chart, and the poultry and cattle stage ages from our own feeding schedules. Intake figures are indicative, based on standard commercial curves for as-hatched broilers, commercial layers, broiler breeders and crossbred cattle. Real intake moves with breed, season, housing and animal health — our technical staff will size a programme for your farm.
